Old Friendships

Yesterday my friend and collegue Heiko held a birthday party. That was a good opportunity to get to know new and interesting people, but there were also many known faces as well. I was excited to see, that also some of our former collegues from Seoul Foreign Language High School showed up. Of course, they asked how my two years in Germany had been, and reported what happened in the last two years in our school in Seoul. I was happy to see them, and we decided to meet again for a hike in the mountains.
Next thursday will also be a day, when I’ll meet many old friends in Seoul. On this day a ceremony will take place, that celebrates the agreement between the German Central for Foreign School Education and korean schools that offer courses to prepare students for the German Language Diploma (DSD). On that occasion, naturally, many of korean german teachers will gather. With some of them I’ve spent ten days at the European Culturecamp in the last four years teaching korean high school students. Such a work connects. That’s why I’m intending to visit the ceremony, although I have no direct relation to the occasion.
At my university I will also meet somebody, I know well. Next to my university mailbox I found the name of my indonesian friend Florian, with whom I’ve learned Korean and lived in the same dormitory. Let’s see, what he’ll say, when I accidently meet him at the campus.
